This listing is for an adorable set of vintage lady head salt and pepper shakers that were made in Japan. These shakers depict two brunette women with closed eyes, painted eyelashes, red lips, white clothes, white bonnets with white ribbons, and painted gold details. These salt and pepper shakers are not stamped with any branding, but one does have a mark that says “Japan” on the bottom. 
These shakers are in decent vintage condition and have some damage that can be expected of used shakers of their age. Both have crazing, one has a chip along the top edge of her bonnet, some paint wear and dark marks on her face, and a darker spot on the tip of her bow; the other one has a chip along the edge of her bonnet, a chip on the front of her dress, a chip on the back underside of her bonnet, and a few small spots of minor paint wear. Both shakers still have their stoppers. 
Despite their wear, these salt and pepper shakers are still in good usable condition either as practical kitchenware, as small pieces of kitchen decor, or as a unique addition to a salt and pepper shaker collection.
